Each Christmas, we at Coventry BID bring festive magic to the city centre with our themed family trails — encouraging visitors to explore, discover, and celebrate the season together. Our trails are designed to bring stories to life while supporting local businesses and creating a fun, free activity for families to enjoy during the holidays.

Last Year’s Dick Whittington Trail

In 2024, we invited families to join our Dick Whittington Trail – Coventry BID, inspired by the much-loved pantomime classic. Participants followed clues and characters around Coventry city centre, discovering hidden gems and festive displays along the way.

The trail was a fantastic success, bringing hundreds of families into the city, boosting footfall for local businesses, and adding to the festive spirit. Everyone who completed the trail was entered into a prize draw — with one lucky winner receiving a selection of city centre vouchers to enjoy.

This Year’s Sleeping Beauty Trail

For Christmas 2025, we’re excited to present our brand-new Sleeping Beauty Trail! Families will once again be invited to explore the city centre, meeting familiar characters and uncovering clues that bring the classic fairy tale to life.

The trail will guide visitors to a series of locations across Coventry, with each stop revealing a new part of the story — and helping families discover the fantastic range of independent and high-street businesses we have here in the city.

Everyone who completes the Sleeping Beauty Trail will have the chance to enter a special prize draw, with one lucky participant winning a great prize to spend in Coventry city centre.
