Coventry’s popular Sports Fest is back next month – bringing six exciting days of free, family-friendly sports activities to Broadgate.

The event will run from Tuesday 12 to Sunday 17 August from 10am-4pm each day.

Sports Fest features a diverse range of sports and wellbeing activities suitable for all ages and abilities.

This includes interactive activities such as ball hockey, rugby, netball, football, table tennis and badminton.

Cheerleading and dance performances will also be part of the event with showcases from talented local groups searching for new members.

Every morning there will be a designated quiet hour suitable for those needing a calmer, low-sensory setting.

Councillor Kamran Caan, Cabinet Member for Public Health and Sport at Coventry City Council, said: “Sports Fest is a vibrant and highly awaited event in Coventry’s summer calendar, enjoyed by residents across the city.

“The event is free to attend and offers a wide range of sporting activities for the whole family to participate in, making it the perfect activity for the summer holidays.

“Previous Sports Fest events have attracted thousands of visitors, so make sure you add the event to your diary and join us in the city centre!”

Harvey Morgan, Business Development Manager at Sky Blues in the Community, added: “We’re delighted to be supporting Sports Fest once again. This annual event always creates a fantastic opportunity to bring local people together, promote healthy lifestyles and help people of all ages get active in a fun and inclusive environment.

“Events like this are a key part of what we do – creating opportunities, breaking down barriers and using sport as a force for good across Coventry.”

Sports Fest is delivered by Coventry City Council in partnership with Sky Blues in the Community.
