Independents Project

This year, Coventry BID proudly launched the Independent Project, celebrating and supporting the independent businesses at the heart of our city. From boutiques and cafés to unique services, our independents are what make Coventry special.

Through tailored marketing campaigns, events, and social media support, we’ve been able to raise the profile of these businesses, strengthen their community connection, and drive footfall.

The response has been fantastic, with independents reporting increased visibility and engagement. Thanks to this success, we’re excited to announce the Independent Project will return next year – continuing to champion our city’s homegrown talent.

Back to School Project

Our Back to School Project placed Coventry city centre at the forefront of families’ preparations for the new school year. By highlighting the diverse range of shops – from uniform and stationery retailers to tech providers and independents – we created a one-stop destination for back-to-school essentials.

With strong marketing support across social media, our website, and local partnerships, the campaign boosted awareness, footfall, and sales, while reinforcing Coventry’s position as a vibrant and accessible shopping hub.

This project is now firmly part of our calendar, ensuring families know they can rely on Coventry city centre for everything they need to start the school year.
