Councillor Kamran Caan, Cabinet Member for Public Health and Sport at Coventry City Council, said: “Sports Fest is coming back this summer where it will continue to offer residents five days of free activities during the school holidays.
“The event is really popular with residents – thousands joined us last year. It also shows the Council’s dedication to making sport and movement accessible for people of all backgrounds by hosting events like this.
“It’s free to attend and offers something for all ages – I encourage all residents to come along, get involved and take the first steps to having an active and healthier summer.”
Sports Fest is delivered by Coventry City Council in partnership with local sports clubs, community groups, health services and national governing bodies of sport, showcasing physical activity and wellbeing opportunities. It is part of this year’s Big Summer Takeover programme which will see a series of free events taking place in the city centre in August.
