A popular 10-day cocktail festival brought a six-figure boost to Coventry’s hospitality sector for a second successive year.

Coventry Cocktail Week returned in September, and figures have revealed it generated a direct economic impact of £428,580, with 28 bars, restaurants and pubs taking part across the city centre.
This is an increase of more than £137,000 from the inaugural event, with more than 3,750 wristbands sold for 2025 and more than 65 cocktails and offers available for wristband holders.
Coventry Cocktail Week is organised by M.ad Agency in partnership with Coventry Business Improvement District (BID).
Wristband holders could access £5 signature cocktails across the participating venues, with businesses involved selling on average 269 additional cocktails, with one bar selling 881 signature cocktails.
More than half of the attendees used their wristband over multiple days, with 15% using their wristband for more than four days.
Hanul Domnesc, from Rosie Malones, said: “Cocktail Week was a fantastic boost for the city, bringing people together to discover new venues and enjoy creative drinks. For us as a local business, it created a real buzz, drove new customers through our doors, and showcased the best of Coventry’s hospitality scene.
“It’s an event that puts Coventry on the map and gives independent venues like ours a real platform to shine.”
Coventry BID works with its levy payers to make the city centre a vibrant and safe place to visit and work.
Joanne Glover, Chief Executive of Coventry BID, said: “Coventry Cocktail Week continues to go from strength to strength and this year we’ve have had excellent feedback from customers and businesses alike.
“It’s fabulous to see the positive impact it has had on the local economy and directly with businesses in the hospitality sector. The city became a destination for cocktail lovers over the 10 days and it attracted visitors from across the Midlands and beyond.
“We’re looking forward to bringing the event back for a third year and will continue to support initiatives that positively impact the hospitality sector in the city centre.”
Coventry Cocktail Week is the latest in a series of initiatives being implemented by Coventry BID to support hospitality businesses and the night-time economy.
It is set to return for a third year with 93% of attendees stating they would purchase a wristband for next year and 83% of customers who were not local to the city stating they would visit Coventry again.
Next year’s expanded event will run from 4 to 13 September 2026, with a new series of signature mocktails set to be available at all venues.
Alice Christison, Company Director at M.ad Agency, added: “The team at Cocktail Week HQ and I are absolutely thrilled with how Coventry Cocktail Week went this year.
“The standard of cocktails and venues was outstanding, and it’s incredible to see the city come alive during the event. From the public enjoying exclusive discounts on drinks and dining, to venues celebrating record-breaking sales, Coventry Cocktail Week has truly come into its own.
“We’re excited to continue growing the event alongside Coventry BID in the years ahead and 2026 is already shaping up to be even bigger and better. Cheers, Coventry!”
